Mind-Body Racial Resilience TM Training

Join Dr. Angela Rose Black for this unique 2.5-hour psychoeducational workshop represents Level I of our Mind-Body Racial ResilienceTM training and is designed for People of Color by People of Color to locate compassionate ways to engage Racial Battle Fatigue: the psychic and physical stressors experienced by PoCs navigating a society marked by conditions of mundane extreme environmental stress. Using Mindfulness for the People’s Foundational PracticeTM, participants will increase their self-awareness of Racial Battle Fatigue and practice evidence-based mind- body techniques that support Racial Resilience. This session will also include a Yin style yoga practice.

Please note: This is an affinity workshop that is specifically for People of Color.

Intentional Movement is a blend of various dance and music genres. This class creates an environment that supports embracing the way that the individual body moves, developing flowing physical affirmations for bodies that are looking to find deeper expression within themselves, looking for an opportunity to be uninhibited, or simply want to enjoy dance in a safe and encouraging environment. We will use movement to show love and gratitude to the body for how it cares for and carries you through life.  Sometimes sensual, sometimes spunky, always about giving thanks for the abilities we are graced with through movement. All levels of dance welcome.

Yoga 101: Yoga for Beginners

This is a 4 week series.

New to yoga? This a great way to start your yoga practice! Beginners or anyone with little yoga experience will learn the fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga. This workshop provides students with the guidance they need to develop a safe and beneficial yoga practice.

In this beginner series, students will receive individual attention while learning basic yoga postures, yoga philosophy, yogic breathing, and relaxation techniques. Students will also be introduced to yoga philosophy and meditation. You will learn how to move safely into and out of poses, as well as how to modify the poses for your body. Gain a basic understanding of the language of the practice and - most importantly - you will learn to control your actions and to steady your body, your breath and your mind. This series is perfect for people who like to learn with the same teacher in a small group.

This workshop will show you how shame goes from normal to toxic and how developing a relationship with your inner child 🙇🏾‍♂️ can lessen your shame and other toxic behaviors. In this workshop, you will:

✅Learn how to access and heal your inner child
✅Learn how to get in touch with your shame and help lessen it
(After all, shame is the lowest vibration emotion that one can feel and it is the emotion that leads to things like depression, substance abuse, toxic patterns, and more.)
✅Participate in live meditations
✅Leave with tangible resources to further nurture your inner child

This workshop will be of great value to the person who is ready to take their healing👣journey to the next level, help heal their emotional wounds, and in turn love ❤️ themselves a little more and live their best life!
